I can highly recommend Andy. After several years of abdominal surgery and resulting nerve damage I thought that I would just have to live with the constant twings and pain.

After 30 sessions with Andy I now have no pain, strong abdominals and as an added bonas have improved my body shape.

Andy absolutely knows his stuff, is fun to work with and most important of all cares about his clients.

I have been coming to Pro Balance for 15 months and in that time have achieved a weight loss of over 3 Stone. As someone who hate’s gyms and finds it very hard to get motivated to exercise, this is a great result for me. I would recommend Pro Balance to anyone!

For a couple of years, I had been a constant 13 stones in weight and was aware that for my age and height, I should have been lighter.

Even though I am always on the go, busy running around, my physique did not change. Putting on another few pounds by comfort eating did me no favours, and then developing gout I knew I had to act quick.

I contacted Pro Balance and Andy Jeffries became my personal fitness instructor. Three months later I was under 12 stones and far better physically and mentally.

Due to my actions people are so surprised and pleased for me, and comment on my achievement. It is hard to believe that after only 10 weeks, I had lost a stone and a half.

I cannot thank Andy enough for his patience, support and help with my regime. He comes well recommended!

Three years ago, at the age of 56, I finally decided that my lack of fitness and the high stress levels involved in my work required me to have a major change in my lifestyle. During the three years I have been training once a week at Pro Balance with Andy, I have lost 17 pounds in weight, changed my body fat from 28% to 16% and am, and feel, fitter that I have been for twenty years.

Having spent 30 years in the NHS telling others to look after themselves, I finally took my own advice and can honestly say that it was the best thing I have done for years. The most important part of the training, however, is the tremendous fun and enjoyment I have whilst exercising.

Andy is a great and innovative trainer and never allows me to get bored with the regime. This means that I look forward to my sessions at the gym, not something that I would have thought five years ago.

You are never too old and never too unfit to start being healthy. Trust me, I’m a doctor!

I am 46 years old and Andy has been my personal trainer for 3 years now. In that time, I have achieved noticeable and commended improvements in both stamina & endurance through cardio training and strength capability through work with weights. Improvements have been sensibly gradual, with staged increases to push me further as ability allows.

The atmosphere is good and my results are monitored per session so I can see the real progress I am making, which in turn is a tremendous boost to self-esteem and confidence. People really do comment on the improvements to my physique and general fitness. Andy is a great personal trainer.

He has a terrific, friendly personality, he never pushes you further than you can go, but he does constantly encourage you to develop your potential, in line with the goals you have agreed for your personal training. I like to try new things too and there is no shortage of ideas and methods with which to enhance my workouts.

Andy is the best trainer I have ever used. He is knowledgeable and will devise the right programme for you whether you just wish to get fit/lose weight, recover from an injury or train for a marathon.

I have known Andy for nearly a year now. He rather foolishly took me on to train me for the BUPA Manchester 10k! I could not have done it without him.

His enthusiasm for everything he gets involved with is incredible. He just oozes confidence and personality and is always so passionate about his work. Andy is a fantastic personal trainer and is very enthusiastic and certainly motivated me to exercise which is a feat in itself!

He is a master at making people feel at ease when in his company with his very down to earth approach and what he doesn’t know about personal training, exercise and nutrition is not worth knowing.

Andy was my trainer for many years before I flew off to Central America to work on the Panama Canal expansion project. I am not a naturally athletic person, but Andy’s subtle influence got me running, circuit training and thinking about my health generally.

He is certainly the best personal trainer that I know and I hope to work with him again when I return to the UK.

I first went to see Andy in June 2012. I had just returned to work having had a baby 6 months previous. I had always enjoyed training but I needed to get rid of my baby weight and he came highly recommended.Apparently I needed a goal – something to train for and so I agreed to take part in a relay triathlon with work colleagues.

I got the bug and my ever supportive husband took it upon himself to find something that would ‘really challenge me’. Before I knew it I was signed up to do to City to Summit iron distance triathlon: 2.4 mile swim in the Firth of Forth; 112 mile bike ride from Edinburgh to Glen Coe (8000 ft of climbing) and a 28 mile run from Glen Coe to, and up (and back down), Ben Nevis (a further 8000 ft of climbing).

Andy tailored a programme for me- not only did this include weights- which got heavier- every week but he also gave me a daily training plan to follow at home – circuits, cardio and diet. It was hard work but it was manageable with a full time job and a baby.

On 1 June 2013 – almost a year since I first met Andy – I completed my challenge. Not only did I complete it, I did quite well…. I was 4th lady over the line with a total time of 16 hours and 28 minutes. I am, without a doubt, fitter and more confident than I have ever been (even pre-baby) and I have Andy to thank for that. Having always been quite active, I didn’t think that I could justify personal training every week. However, I could not do without Andy now!

Last year around November time I was running roughly 50 minute 10k runs and 2 hr half marathons. I was just over 12 stones, and had hit a brick wall! I couldn’t get quicker, or shift those few extra pounds to get under the magic 12 stone! After Tatton Half I found the flyer I got from the Salford 10k for Probalance, and decided to give it a whirl.

I spoke to Andy, who put me onto Michelle, and we set out our targets – 45 minute 10k and 1 hr 50 m half. My diet was changed to one that was much better for me (low carb), with excellent recipe ideas.

We started out on strength work once a week. I couldn’t manage any more, I have 2 small children to help put to bed and look after – I can’t completely shirk on dad duties!! A running/training plan away from Probalance was also constructed for me.

7 months later I’m under 12 stone, done 45 mins for 10k and 1 hr 43 min for a half marathon. My body has gone from saggy round the edges to being nicely toned!!! It’s the fittest I’ve been since I was 18! It’s also great for the mind – seeing your body with muscles rather than flab is ace!!

I have really benefitted from Michelle’s help – I’m much fitter, eating healthier and training correctly. I’d recommend Probalance to anyone (and the prices are good too!).
